When I was young, I used to be a dreamer. I dreamed of heroes and heroines and mythical creatures and great battles and truth and goodness triumphing over evil. I was absorbed by books that reinforced such views and they became part of me.
I lived in a world much simpler and more clearly defined than today’s and I was brought up on well established principles of behaviour and normality. That world has changed around me, but those guidelines have never been distorted by the flow of events. These stories may be fantasy and the characters fictional, but the principles are steadfast.
Thankfully, they are not lost altogether to the world at large, and they shine brightly in the attitudes and conduct of our children and grandchildren. May it ever be thus.

Harry has been innovative in business and family activities all his life. Reared in a family where a week’s holiday could mean opal-gouging in western Queensland or a fun fishing adventure or learning to cook with his mother, a pioneer ‘live’ TV cook. Harry enjoyed cricket and bowls, becoming the RSL Queensland Pairs lawn bowls champion with his father in his early 20s.
Always ready with imaginative stories, Harry relished his role as father to his four children. They loved hearing his bedtime stories and making fairy play places in their beautiful garden. He taught them to make and fly balsa-wood planes and during their teen years, completely redecorated the house for theme parties, to which young guests knew to come in costume.

Harry lives in Brisbane with his wife Trisha in a house frequently filled with children and grandchildren for whom he is now telling new stories which are being committed to paper this time around.
Devoted partners in business and family life for more than 40 years, Harry and Trisha have pleasure in collaborating to publish Harry’s imaginative stories. While the stories are meant for children, Harry took his brief more widely, drawing on every aspect of his life and interests to create believable characters and situations.
